div Job Summary:brbrUnder general direction, with minimal direct supervision, maintains 24-hour responsibility and accountability for providing coordination of Surgical Services materials and supplies. Responsible for establishing and implementing policies and procedures and ensuring regulatory and corporate compliance by maintaining service excellence. Coodinates day-to-day functions of Surgical Services materials management including maximizing savings through effective inventory management. Responsible for acquisition of materials good and services that meets the clinical, operational, and quality patient care needs of the hospitals with vendors and physicians. brbrPrimary Job Duties:brbr1. Works directly with vendors and physicians to ensure proper and timely acquisition of orthopedic implants, ophthalmology, Gyn, urology prosthetics, instruments and surgical supplies. Ensure purchase orders are accurately provided to vendors.br2. Responsible for all compliance of all Surgical Services tissue tracking. br3. Monitors vendor invoices to ensure appropriate charges are maintained. br4. Maintains the budgetary side of Surgical Services materials to ensure the achievement of department goals.br5. Demonstrates commitment to clinical quality while focusing on quality clinical outcomes. This includes ensuring regulatory and corporate compliance with surgical instrumentation and supply recalls.br6. Responsible for day-to-day functions of Surgical Services material management including maximizing savings through effective inventory management.br7. Responsible for product utilization and costs and reconciliation of payment to documentation.br8. Maintains operations of the unit within fiscal and productivity guidelines as set forth by annual budgetary process. br9. Develops and achieves annual Surgical Services goals that support the Mission, Vision, and Values of Oakwood Healthcare System. br10. Educates Surgical Services staff on appropriate care, handling, assembling, and use of instrumentation. br11. Committee work with other acute care sites. Minimum Job Qualifications: Education: brAssociate degree in health care, business related field or equivalent experience. brExperience: 3 years minimum of experience in materials management and/or an acute care operating room department.brLicensure: None brSkills Abilities: Management skills and clinical competency in appropriate specialty div /div /divBR/Beaumont Health is an equal opportunity employer.
