Additional Job Details: Full-Time Nights, 3- 12 hours shifts - 7:00pm to 7:30am with rotating weekends and holidays.

As a Registered Nurse, you are an essential part of our success stories within our Healthcare system. Our Nurses care for patients admitted from Emergency, and patients transferred from ICU/Stepdown, or medical surgical floors requiring telemetry monitoring. The unit utilizes a portable telemetry system with central monitoring at the nurses station as well as portable arrhythmia pagers. These patients require close monitoring and specific interventions for arrhythmias and treatment with vasoactive medication. Staff are ACLS trained, and proficient in dysrhythmia interpretation and treatment. Nurses on the unit are NIHSS certified, and the unit functions as a backup for stroke protocol patients.

What You Will Do
As an Associate with Ascension St. John Health-MI, you will have the opportunity to provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.
Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
What You Will Need
BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. American Red Cross (ARC) CPR for Professional Rescuers card will be accepted upon hire but renewal must be a BLS Provider card from AHA.
Registered Nurse credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required.
