Speech Pathologist TMP Req #: 30115398 Category: Clinical/Allied Health Facility: Beaumont Hospital Troy Department: Speech Pathology Schedule: Casual/Contingent Shift: Days Job Details:GENERAL SUMMARY:The speech pathologist provides evaluation and treatment for patients referred to the Speech and Language Pathology Department and takes part in Continuing Education and fund-raising activities as assigned.ESSENTIAL DUTIES:* Evaluate communicative dysfunction, give recommendations and provide patient treatment.* Documentation of patient evaluation/treatment in Epic system and outcome input in Noms.* Develop plan of treatment for individual/group, computer therapy for patient.* Communicate with families or significant others, physicians and other interdisciplinary team members relating to patient.* Assist in Supervision of interns from graduate programs of various universities.* Related department projects as directed.STANDARD QUALIFICATIONS:Education / Training:* Master's Degree, Certificate of Clinical Competence (ASHA) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), ASHA.Work Experience:* Expertise in adult/children neurological speech and language disorders, evaluation and treatment, including aphasia, apraxia, dysarthria, dysphagia, laryngectomy, stuttering and other related voice disorders.* Experience with swallow videofluorocopy and modified barium swallow patients.Certification, Licensure, Registration:* Certificate of Clinical Competence, America Speech-Language-Hearing Association, (required) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.* Licensure in Speech Pathology-Michigan (required) or temporary license during the CFY (required).Weekend work is required.Beaumont Health is an equal opportunity employer.
