Beaumont Health System Registrar in Troy, Michigan

div GENERAL SUMMARY: span/spanspanThe registrar position exisits in two high volume, fast paced outpatient physical and occupational therapy clinics within close proximity of the Troy campus. The registrar interacts daily with patients, physicians and insurnace providers. The registrar answers incoming phone calls, registers patients, schedules patients in a multiple appointment series, verifies insurance coverage, obtains authorizations, assists in maintaining statistics, inventory and other office functions as necessary. The registrar will put together new patient charts, fax and follow up on outstanding plans of care and scan patient documentation into the patients Epic chart. Performs daily charge count and entry, collects patient copays and outstanding balances and monitors effective chart discharge. Provides patients with cost estimates. Demonstrates excellent customer service and ability to work collaboratively with clerical, clincal and techincal members of the team. /spanspan/spanbrspan/spanSTANDARD QUALIFICATIONSspan/spanulliEducation / Training: * High school diploma or equivalent required. /liliWork Experience: * 1 year experience in a customer service role or health care industry./liliMedical terminology and ICD10 coding experience. /liliWindows/MSoffice literate, knowledge if insurance requirements for authorization andreimbursement.span /span/liliAbility to clearly and effectively communicatewith all constituents and possess strong organization skills.span /span/liliMust demonstrate excellent customer focus,flexibility, ability to plan, prioritize and set goals.span /span/liliMust demonstrate ability to work in a teamenvironment and the ability to communicate effectively.span /span/liliMust have experience with Epic, One Contact,Web Denis.
