Beaumont Home Health and Hospice is looking for an organized and driven professional to join us as a Program Assistant for Hospice.

As a Program Assistant for Hospice, you will assist the field staff in providing exceptional care by scheduling visits to meet client care needs effectively and efficiently. All patients' and field staff inquiries or concerns are addressed courteously and promptly adding to the overall outstanding patient experience.

  • Staff/assign new clients to clinicians according to scheduling protocols matches patients with a field staff member by determining best match in clinical skill sets and personality

  • Responds promptly and courteously to all patients' inquiries or problems with consideration to their special, age-related needs

  • Collaborate with administrator/supervisor regarding client concerns or complaints

  • Responsible for supporting Clinical Managers and their teams

  • Facilitates communication between field staff, office staff, and clients as necessary

  • Coordinates and maintains monthly schedules for the Clinical Manager/Team

  • Assists in completing routine duties while meeting the needs of the team as well as effectively covering agency needs

  • Address missed, declines, unverified, and reassigned visits with field staff

  • Provides administrative support to assigned team to meet the objectives of the team, including team preparation, schedule rotation as needed to ensure coverage throughout the week and weekend as appropriate

  • Problem-solving and creative in achieving client visit coverage for call-ins, emergency visits, high census, specialty visits, maintains visit quotas and arranging for provisional assistance as needed

  • Runs reports on behalf of the team, to determine compliance with regulatory requirements

  • Attends all mandatory in-office meetings Understands and practices all HIPAA regulations

  • Other duties as assigned

  • High-School graduate or equivalent, Associates Degree preferred

  • Minimum of one year of experience in the health care industry and experience in home care is preferred

  • Proficiency in medical terminology

  • Ability to learn new database system and run reports to analyze data

  • Experience working with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel preferred

  • Effective and clear oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to listen and work with a diverse group of people

  • Organized and detail oriented

  • Ability to identify a problem, look for possible solutions, make a decision, and implement the course of action
