Regional Director of Health Information Management (HIM) is responsible leading
Revenue Cycle Health Information Management (HIM), Release of Information (ROI)
and Transcription Services. Functional
assignments include medical records, customer service, health information,
release of information, transcription, information system analysis and
management, electronic data interchange and optical imaging management. Develops and implements plans to ensure the
achievement of established objectives. Represents HIM and Revenue Cycle in meeting strategic objectives
throughout the McLaren System. The Regional
Director is expected to be a contributing member of the Revenue Cycle
leadership team. Demonstrates the
philosophy and core values of McLaren Health Care in the performance of duties.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS& RESPONSIBILITIES
multi-hospital Medical Records Departments , ROI and Transcription services.
vendors HIM contracts.
discharge not final billed (DNFB) for the McLaren system.
leadership throughout the system in regards to HIM, ROI and Transcription.
closely with the central business office to improve processes impacting the
knowledge of healthcare facility and professional claims processing including
ICD-10, CPT, HCPC, NDC codes and modifiers
knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and Third Party reimbursement methodologies.
for developing and outcomes of the daily escalation reporting, weekly statuses
and monthly KPI dashboard report for the revenue cycle.
operation of systems, prepares recommendation and documentation to create and
update fiscal services and other related policies and procedures with respect
to operating systems.
Bachelor’sDegree required in Health Information Management, Accounting, BusinessManagement or closely related field in order to understand the impact ofthe revenue cycle on the performance of the health system.
Fifteen (15)years’ experience in a progressively more responsible leadership role in HealthInformation Management/Coding and/or Revenue Cycle with demonstrated supervisoryresponsibility in health care.
