Description:

Under the direction of the Sr. Director of Human Resources, serves as the Scheduling/HR Coordinator. The Scheduling/HR Coordinator, in collaboration with the VP of Nursing/Operations and Department Leadership is responsible for the development and maintenance of fiscally conscious schedules that provide optimal utilization of staff on the inpatient and other units. The Scheduling/HR Coordinator, with input from the department directors, is also responsible for managing the activities necessary for department payrolls. Develops and prepares monthly schedules for departments according to staffing guidelines. Assists with the coordination of orientation scheduling and training of new staff on scheduling/staffing/payroll functions. Answers general questions and inquiries in all areas of Human Resources. Assists in recruiting functions.

Job Qualifications:

  1. Associate’s degree or related college course work, and a proven track record with high volume customer service, supervision or scheduling showing proven organizational skills.

  2. Three years of work experience in a health care setting desired. Previous experience in Human Resources and/or Administrative Assistant experience preferred.

  3. Minimum of two years experience operating business office machines and computers. Must possess data entry skills with a strong knowledge of word processing programs.

  4. Initiative, motivation, organization and the ability to work independently with a minimum of supervision.

  5. Ability to make independent decisions and possess sound judgment to occasionally make important organizational decisions.

  6. Ability to communicate both orally and in writing with a wide range of people.

  7. Must be able to move intermittently throughout the day.

  8. Must be able to speak the English language in an understandable manner.

  9. Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.

  10. Must be able to see and hear, or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to assure that the requirements of this position can be fully met.

  11. Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 40 lbs.

  12. Must keep patients safe.
