EHM Senior Solutions Manager of Business Development in Saline, Michigan

EHM Senior Solutions is looking for an experienced sales person to support Washtenaw County. Our services include: skilled home care, companion care, home modification/maintenance services, and technology solutions designed to keep seniors independent.

The Manager of Business Development will promote EHM Senior Solution’s services to potential referral sources and the community with an overall goal of building recognition and maintaining census to meet and exceed budgeted census goals. This includes meeting with hospitals, nursing homes, physicians, etc.; community marketing; and meeting with potential patients and family members.

Job Duties include, but are not limited to:

Develop and nurture relationships with referring agencies, physicians, discharge planners, and other community organizations to promote referrals amongst all divisions of EHM Senior Solutions.

Work closely with all non-clinical and clinical personnel to ensure good communication and the successful transition of clients between divisions.

Maintain an effective marketing plan to promote the organization.

Maintain open communication with Executive Directors of all appropriate business units to ensure training of all market changes, competitor actions, and marketing/sales activities.

Possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.

Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as be willing to handle residents based on whatever maturity level they are currently functioning.

Must be able to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing practices.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Minimum 2 years sales experience in a healthcare or service related field. Specific skill in post-acute care sales is preferred. Demonstrated presentation and communication skills.

Strong writing skills – experience in developing press releases a plus.

Experience with corporate communications is a plus.

Additional education beyond high school is preferred with a preference for health care concentration or any combination of education and experience.

Must have a valid driver’s license, car insurance and vehicle for private business use. Must possess a thorough knowledge of principles of effective communication, sales technique, mass media, advertising, policies, education, community relations, demonstration, organization structure, social and activity services, government relations, etc.
