St. Mary Mercy Hospital is a beautiful full-service, 304-bed acute care hospital, located in Livonia, MI, that provides comprehensive care, including a 24-hour emergency department, general medicine, inpatient and outpatient surgery, physical medicine and rehabilitation, intensive care unit, cancer, cardiology, geriatrics and birthing and women's health. Through several major expansions in the hospital, programs and services, St. Mary Mercy continues to offer the latest in quality health and medical services. St. Mary Mercy has received numerous awards recognizing excellence in clinical outcomes, patient safety, financial performance and efficiency.
SUMMARY: The Registered Nurse is accountable for the management of patient care during a designated time frame. The responsibilities include coordination and evaluation of care, teaching and delegation of patient activities to the other health care team members via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, and the environment.
DEPARTMENT: The 31-bed Emergency Center is equipped to provide high quality care to patients of all ages. It is staff with Board Certified Emergency Room Physicians, Registered Nurses and Emergency Center Technicians. ACLS, TNCC and ENPC are offered on site and taught by an Emergency Center nurse educator. The staffing model is based on the Emergency Nurses Association (ENA) with guidelines reflecting volume and acuity. The supportive leadership team encourages teamwork, professional development and shared governance.
Graduation from a school of nursing and current Michigan RN License required. Previous Emergency Room RN experience is required. ACLS required. Excellent customer service skills and computer proficiency required.
