The RN Registered Nurse Manager, Patient Care Services will serves as a member of the Ministry Organization’s nursing leadership team and will be responsible for day-to-day operations, scheduling, staffing and providing 24/7 accountability for patient care delivery, planning, and evaluation of services. They will participate in, and support strategic development and outcomes management of nursing service line and/or department improvements within multi and/or specialty units of responsibility. This will include effective review and evaluation of operations and services in accordance with business requirements, market place trends and technological needs. The RN Registered Nurse Manager, Patient Care Services will provide clinical and administrative leadership for planning, organizing, directing, monitoring and evaluating safe, superior and preeminent quality patient care to ensure the advancement of clinical practice and patient care for a nursing unit that is consistent with the ANA Scope of Practice, American Organization of Nurse Executive (AONE) Nurse Leader/Manager competencies, and American Nurses Credentialing Center Magnet Standards. This role also requires collaboration with and support of the director and key leaders, groups, and stakeholder audiences in the development and implementation of operational plans, goals and objectives .

RN Registered Nurse Manager, Patient Care Services Education, Experience, and Licensure/Certification
Graduation from accredited nursing program, New hires as of 1/1/12 must have a BSN degree or must agree in writing to obtain their BSN within the specified time frame. MSN degree preferred.
At least 3 years of experience in a management role or experience in a charge nurse capacity with significant experience in process improvement initiatives/change management.
Requires current Michigan Nursing License.
Preferred NICU, Special Care or Pediatric Nursing Experience
