div Job Summary:Under general direction, performs a variety of laboratory and clinical diagnostic procedures including cardiac electro-physiologic studies, EEG's, Cardiac and Vascular Ultrasound examinations including Cardiac Doppler.Essential Job Duties:ullidivPerforms Echocardiographic procedures in a timely manner; documents required information and communicates to primary physician and direct care staff pertinent information./divlidivCoordinates and assists the care of patients assigned in collaboration with radiology techs, physicians, nurses and allied health staff./divlidivEvaluates patient condition in order to adequately perform Echocardiographic exam for best outcome of patient./divlidivInforms and explains procedure to be performed and what is expected./divlidivProvides comprehensive direct patient care and assures a safe and comforting environment./divlidivConsults with other staff as necessary to meet the needs of the patient and family./divlidivParticipates in the Quality Improvement and utilization review programs per ICAEL requirements./divlidivAssumes a leader role in the maintenance of the patient-focused care delivery system./divlidivAssists co-workers within the organization to ensure that the best patient-focused care is delivered./divlidivOther duties as assigned.span /span/div/li/li/li/li/li/li/li/li/li/li/ulStandard Qualifications:ullidivHigh School Graduate or Equivalent.span /spanGraduate of an AMA approved Cardiovascular Diagnostic program, or equivalent./divlidivSix months of experience as an ECHO technician, preferred./divlidivRegistered Sonographer from CCI or ARDMS required./divlidivKnowledge of anatomy and physiology of the heart.span /spanWorking knowledge of all phases of non-invasive diagnostic procedures.span /spanKnowledge of normal and abnormal cardiac./div/li/li/li/li/ul div /div /divBR/Beaumont Health is an equal opportunity employer.
