Honor Community Health Program Director, Child & Adolescent Services in Pontiac, Michigan

POSITION SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, the full time, exempt Program Director, Child and Adolescent Services is a key member of a high performing team and provides organization leadership for the daily delivery of patient care through programs and services aimed at child and adolescent populations. The Director, Child and Adolescent Services plans, develops, and administers child and adolescent health programs in accordance with the goals and objectives of Honor Community Health and in compliance with state and federal standards, policies, guidelines, and grant funding requirements. Responsible for the administrative functions of the programs including reporting, staff oversight, performance goals, community outreach and driving a culture focused on high quality health care and service excellence. The Director, Child and Adolescent Services works to create an environment of compassion and innovation promoting HONOR COMMUNITY HEALTH?s role in leading efforts for child and adolescent health.

QUALIFICATIONS:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Demonstrate and lead all Child and Adolescent services in a commitment to the mission and vision of Honor Community Health. Ensure access and utilization of services.

  • Management of all administrative activities for child and adolescent services including human resources, program/business development, strategic planning, regulatory compliance and fund development.

  • Oversees practice plan preparedness in order to ensure regulatory compliance (OSHA, HRSA, HIPAA).

  • Directs and supervises all operations and staff of the Honor Community Health Child and Adolescent Services, including but not limited to Child Adolescent Health Centers/Expanding, Enhancing Emotional Health/31N/Taking Pride In Prevention programs, in all aspects of their job requirements to ensure adherence to benchmarks and quality metrics, in collaboration with Clinical Supervisor.

  • Direct regularly scheduled meetings with staff to enhance communication, discuss issues meet targets, site customer loyalty scores and patient/client volume. Monitors monthly progress in meeting benchmarks and financial targets, with emphasis on cost containment, creating and implementing new strategic plans when necessary. Identifies opportunities for continued improvement for patient access.

  • Define goals/objectives, assess patient/client satisfaction, and evaluate outcome measures for programs.

  • Support performance improvement initiatives based on patient/client satisfaction and outcome evaluations.

  • Manage the human resources of all programs within Child and Adolescent Services to ensure the professional growth of staff and achievement of program benchmarks.

  • In collaboration with Human Resources, interviews and hires candidates for open positions.

  • In collaboration with appropriate clinical supervisor, monitors staff performance by conducting appropriate reviews in a timely manner.

  • Assist in writing, maintaining, and monitoring all related program budgets to ensure fiscal accountability.

  • Develop, revise, and implement procedures and policies for child and adolescent health programs. Draft and revise operating policies and reporting mechanisms.

  • Maintain compliance with relevant Honor Community Health, State of MI, and grant requirements and fiduciary rules and regulations for the Child Adolescent Health Centers/Expanding, Enhancing Emotional Health/31N/Taking Pride In Prevention and affiliated programs. Ensure reviews and site visits by monitoring agencies are conducted with positive outcomes.

  • Responsible for compilation and timely submission of quarterly and year-end reporting to all funders.

  • Collaborate with Honor Community Health?s leadership team to seek out and apply for appropriate grant opportunities.

  • In coordination with COO and other leaders, develop and monitor all community outreach, public relations, and marketing of Child and Adolescent Services and activities to promote the programs and its services to the schools and community.

  • Collaborate with school and community partners by serving as a coordinator of the Child and Adolescent Programs advisory councils and as a participant in school and community committees, as appropriate.

  • Serve as liaison with various local, state, and federal agencies concerning child and adolescent health-related matters. Regularly confers with other public health representatives to resolve problems of mutual concern and eliminate any duplication of efforts.

  • Attend administrative meetings as requested.

  • Responsible for results, action plans, and plan follow through of employee satisfaction surveys.

  • Demonstrate knowledge of child and adolescent development and the field of child and adolescent health.

  • Demonstrate responsibility for own professional growth and development

EDUCATION: Bachelor?s Degree in social work, public health, health services, human service area, or business with human service experience required; Masters preferred.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum of four years? experience in health care, social work, human service, or other relevant area. Previous program management with supervisory experience strongly desired.

LICENSURE: As needed per discipline.
