McLaren Health Care Paramedic in Pontiac, Michigan
Under direct supervision provides patient care in collaboration with the health care team by performing selected therapeutic and preventative emergency and patient care measures.
Assists in transfer/transport of the Emergency Department patient.
Reports patient care incident and changes in patient condition to the Charge Nurse/Physician in a timely manner. Seeks guidance as needed in making adjustments to patient care based on evaluation data.
Performs selected therapeutic and preventative emergency care/patient care measures.
Promotes good intradepartmental and interdepartmental communication.
Performs peripheral lab draws and peripheral IV access only.
High School Diploma.
Graduate of an accredited paramedic program.
Training associated with distribution of passing first line code meds in the presence of a RN and/or Physician.
Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively communicate with patients/family, staff, physicians and other Hospital personnel.
Current Michigan licensure to practice in the State of Michigan (NREMT). ACLS.
