Our employees will serve all patients, families and each other with dignity and respect.Summary: Responsible for the evaluation, design, fabrication, and fit of foot inserts and special shoes for patients requiring support or correction due to musculoskeletal damage, disease, or deformity. Completes responsibilities in accordance with a physician prescription.Essential Job Responsibilities: * Provides clinical services including measurement, fit, fabrication, adjustment, and repair of pedorthotic devices. Produces pedorthotic devices; establishes standards for their design and fabrication in relation to the physician orders. Evaluates foot structures, biomechanics and improper shoe wear. Instructs patients in the use of foot orthoses and proper shoe wear. * Provides clinical services for a defined specialty area and maintains expertise through education. * Discusses foot problems and recommendations with patients, physicians, physical therapists and other allied health care workers. * Evaluates foot orthotic device needs and meets standards for their design and fabrication in relation to physician orders. Takes all necessary impressions and measurements needed by technicians in design, measurement, and fabrication of foot orthotics according to physician description. * Attends assigned clinics, completes hospital calls if necessary. *
