ProMedica Health System Chaplain - System Mission Services - Per Diem - Variable in Monroe, Michigan
The ProMedica Chaplain provides direct spiritual services to patients and families that request such services while receiving care on the hospice program. They actively participate in the interdisciplinary team process of care development through regular communication with interdisciplinary staff and attendance at team meetings. Chaplains provide direct spiritual services to hospice patients and/or their families in keeping with their belief system. They will assist staff with understanding significant spiritual factors related to the hospice program.
Provides pastoral care to patients/families as needed with priority given to referrals, critical care and long-term patients.
Serves as primary pastoral caregiver in one or two designated units
Attends monthly pastoral care meetings.
Shares responsibility within the department for on-call and on-call backup.
Master’s degree in related field required or working towards such degree. Must have four (4) unit of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE).
Years of Experience: 2 years
Master’s Degree in a field related to theology. Four (4) units of Clinical Pastoral Education.
Years of Experience: 5 years as a chaplain in a healthcare related field.
Certification: APC or NACC or equivalent.
