The Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program offers concentrations in General and Vascular sonography. Our Program is offered by the Department of Biomedical Sciences (housed within the College of Health Sciences) and is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs.
We seek a registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to serve as Program Director for the Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program in the Department of Biomedical Sciences at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee. This position will meet the requirements for the Program Director as outlined by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (JRC-DMS) standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Radiologic Technology or related field
- Current ARDMS credentials in Abdomen, OB/GYN, and Vascular Technology
- Minimum of two (2) years full-time professional experience in general/vascular sonography (at least 35 or more hours per week)
- Master’s degree or PhD
- Additional professional credentials in sonography (breast, pediatric, adult echo, pediatric echo and/or fetal echo)
- Evidence of experience with web based-instruction
- Evidence of proficiency in teaching methodology, supervision, instruction, evaluation, and guidance
- Evidence of proficiency in curriculum development
- Knowledge of JRC-DMS standards & guidelines
