style="text-align: center;"Chief Executive Officer Employment OpportunityPathways Community Mental Health Board is seeking an individual looking for a challenging opportunity who has demonstrated effective administrative abilities and human services experience to replace our retiring CEO. Pathways, which is located centrally in the beautiful Upper Peninsula (U.P.) of Michigan, is a complex public mental health system that is a direct provider of services to individuals with developmental disabilities, children with severe emotional disturbances, and adults with severe mental illness located in Alger, Delta, Luce and Marquette counties.The CEO, located in the Marquette County office, reports directly to a 12 member Board of Directors and has oversight of an organization that directly employs over 200 employees. Minimum qualifications include a masterrsquo;s degree in a human services field, 5 years of professional experience in field of training, and 3 years of experience in the administrative supervision of mental health programs. Consideration will also be provided to those with a masterrsquo;s degree in a field of management relevant to the administration of a county community mental health program with 5 years of professional experience in management and 3 years of experience in the management of human services programs. (The areas of community mental health administration, hospital administration, public administration, institution management, business administration, or public health are deemed to be relevant fields of management). Applicants should have significant experience in the supervision or management of a mental health or human services organization, and have the ability to be an effective administrator in a Public Mental Health and politically charged environment.The Upper Peninsula (U.P.) has a population of just over 300,000 people and is over 16,000 square miles. The U.P. is 320 miles long (east-west) and 125 miles wide (north-south). The beautiful U.P. has 1,700 miles of Great Lakes shoreline, exceptional year-round recreational activities and is home to three universities (Lake Superior State University, Michigan Technological University, and Norther Michigan University.)Salary is competitive and commensurate with background/experience.
