Job Summary and Description
Adjunct faculty teach courses in Nursing (clinical and lab) including planning, preparation and delivery of lecture/lab instruction materials at all levels of training. A clinical faculty is the catalyst for student learning. Clinical opportunities for students to meet course objectives must be provided by faculty. Clinical faculty encourage, collaborate, support, correct, stimulate and challenge students to think critically in helping students plan for their patients’ optimal wellness, recovery and rehabilitation. Faculty need to discuss assignments with unit managers and staff nurses as well as maintain ongoing verbal and written recording and reporting with them. Faculty members also participate in curriculum development and student advising.

Education and Experience:
Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) from a regionally accredited institution of higher education.
Registered Nursing with current State of Michigan Nursing License.
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification for Health Care Providers – required within 30 days of hire.
Two years of clinical nursing experience.
Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) from a regionally accredited institution of higher education.
