Responsible for maintaining identified Inpatient work queues to include root cause analysis and risk mitigation.
Responsible for researching “DNFB”, “On Hold” and “Missing Documentation” accounts to identify reason for coding/billing delays.
Responsible for monitoring the timeliness of the coding completion process and ensure minimal variation in coding practices among the IP service lines.
Education - High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience - skills, knowledge, abilities typically gained through less than 2 years of related experience
Coding Specialist, Certified (CCS) 1 Year Or
Professional Coder, Certified (CPC) 1 Year Or
Outpatient Coder, Certified (COC) 1 Year Or
Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) 1 Year Or
Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) 1 Year
Education - Associate's Degree or equivalent in Health Care, Business, or Registered Health Information Administrator or related field
Experience - 1 year of prior acute care hospital experience in a role related to DNFB/DNFC, Coder, Coding Lead, Coding Education or Coding Manager
