Ascension Health Physical Therapist in Kalamazoo, Michigan

We Are Hiring

Physical Therapist - PT BHFC - Full-Time, Day - Ascension Borgess Health and Fitness Center- Kalamazoo, MI.

Monday - Friday, hours vary during the week but can range from 8:00am - 5:00pm or 9:00am -6:00pm. Inpatient clinical weekend rotation one day per month.

What You Will Do

As an Associate with Ascension Michigan, you will have the opportunity to evaluate and conduct medically prescribed physical therapy treatment programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs initial and on-going assessments of patient's condition.

  • Establishes, revises and evaluates a plan of care which is appropriate to problems identified and involves the patient/family.

  • Performs therapy interventions utilizing standard physical therapy techniques and skills as appropriate for the condition of the patient.

  • Oversees activities of physical therapy assistants, students and other support personnel.

What You Will Need

Licenses/Certifications/Registration:

  • Required Credential(s):

  • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date.

  • Rehab Therapist specializing in Physical Therapy (RPT) credentialed from the Michigan Board of Physical Therapy obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

  • Diploma

  • Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy required. Master's or DPT degree preferred.

Work Experience:

  • 1-2 years Women's Health Pelvic Floor Therapy. Formal training/certification by APTA and or Herman Wallace in Women's Health Pelvic Floor preferred.

Ability to split patient case load between Women's Health and Orthopaedic populations.
