Henry Ford Health System Nurse Manager - 7th Floor Med/Surg Units - Full Time - Days / Varied - Allegiance Health - Jackson, MI in Jackson, Michigan

The Nurse Manager is responsible for providing operational and administrative leadership for a given unit/department. Manages the clinical, human, and fiscal operations of the unit/department. Ensures compliance with organizational standards of performance for quality of care; patient safety; customer service; staff engagement; fiscal responsibility; regulatory compliance; and mandatory education requirements. Establishes priorities, goal and action plans to achieve results. Integrates decisions of committees into the operation and activities of the department.


Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

One (1) to three (3) years of management experience

Ability to problem solve

Effective verbal and written communication skills

Knowledge about care and management principles of pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients

Demonstrates leadership ability, communications and interpersonal skills necessary to interact effectively with physicians, management, staff, external agencies/customers and patient/families


Current Michigan Nursing License


MSN or Master’s Degree in a related field
