Clarios EHS Lead in Holland, Michigan

bWhat you will do/bIn this role you will have oversight and accountability for the Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) operations at a single plant and may assist in some EHS activities at other sites, as needed. In this role you will have no direct reports but will partner with other members of your EHS Cluster and Regional EHS leadership teams to ensure seamless implementation of Global, Regional, and plant EHS standards, practices, systems, and tools and will serve as the general subject matter expert for EHS operations within your plant.You will provide technical support on EHS matters across your plant and drive initiatives as an individual contributor or leader of project teams to address specific changes or issues that apply across the plant.bHow you will do it/bulliEnsure environmental, health and safety compliance with all applicable Federal, State and Municipal environmental rules and regulations/liliCreate, update and review all environmental, health and safety Programs and Procedures./liliImplementation and management of ISO 14001 EMS and 45001 SMS per the standard as well as Corporate Environmental, Health and Safety Standards/liliDevelop and coordinate plant environmental, health and safety education and training programs./liliRetain all environmental, health and safety records in compliance with Federal, State and Municipal rules and regulations./liliEducate, motivate and train line supervision and production personnel in good housekeeping practices, safe work procedures, PPE, etc./liliSample, measure and evaluate employee exposures to in-plant chemical contaminants, including lead and physical agents such as heat and noise exposure./liliAssist Occupational Health Nurse (OHN) in administration of medical surveillance and biological monitoring programs according to OSHA standards and company policies and procedures./liliManage the plant personal protective equipment, work clothing and safety equipment programs according to company standards and operating budget./liliAssist OHN in administration of the workers' compensation program, including effective medical case management, reporting, record maintenance and follow-up./liliDevelop and implement effective plant programs for the identification, prevention and control of occupational injuries, illnesses and environmental incidents./liliServe on the plant safety committee as Co-Chairperson./liliMaintain an accurate OSHA 300 log./liliConduct on-site Inspections and audits (waste, SPCC, NEC, chemical reviews, etc.)/liliPrepare and submit all Federal, State, and local reports/liliAccompany visiting inspectors and report findings./liliAdminister the plant hazard communication program, including maintaining up-to-date SDS's, effective identification of all chemicals, chemical inventory and related training and education programs./liliEnsure prevention and control of identified environmental risks air, chemical, waste and water/liliMaintain legal and regulatory records including permits and all related documents/liliLead plant sustainability programs and continuous improvement activities/liliEmergency Coordinator for hazardous waste activities/li/ulbWhat we look for/bbRequired/bulliCandidates must have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Industrial Safety or related field with a minimum of 3 years of experience in Environmental, Health Safety, or both, ideally in a manufacturing environment./liliStrong verbal, written, analytical, and persuasive skills and the ability to
