Spectrum Health is looking to add a full-time physician to a Grand Rapids OB/GYN Generalist Practice. You’ll thrive in this position if you enjoy full scope obstetrics and gynecology in a team-based care setting. This position practices out of centrally located Grand Rapids locations for clinic and out of our two ambulatory surgery centers. Deliveries are done at Butterworth Hospital, a high-volume center with approximately 7,500 deliveries annually.

Essential Functions
Assesses and monitors the medical needs of patients/significant others.
Provides quality medical services to patients in a cost effective, appropriate manner and ensures coverage of case load at all times.
Provides input into the development of policies and procedures as they related to medical practice and quality patient care.
Provides oversight of Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners and others providing delegated services to patients.
Evaluates patients'/significant others'/staff educational needs and develops and implements appropriate teaching strategies or delegates to appropriate resources.
Documents in a manner consistent with regulatory standards.
Communicates with other members of the health care team in order to ensure continuity of care and coordination of services. Acts as a patient/family advocate.
Participates in ongoing process improvement activities through the development/application of clinical paths, process improvement and other related activities.Actively works with Spectrum Health to meet financial and patient satisfaction goals.

Required Bachelor's Degree
