Acts as a team member in the delivery of quality patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Performs basic skills per hospital/unit guidelines and communicates observations to members of the health care team.
Nursing Technicians play a vital role to providing excellent patient care. Duties include taking vitals, checking blood sugars, wound care, catheterization and ambulating patients. This role will start with 3 days of training classes from 8 am to 4:30 pm prior to training on the unit. While these are paid days of training, they are prescheduled and not flexible. If your schedule does not permit this flexibility to meet these training requirements, please do not apply at this time.
For Emergency Department specific training, the role will not start until the week of December 7 for Nurse Tech training classes on 12/9, 12/10 and 12/14 from 8 am to 4:30 pm.
Education - High School Diploma or equivalent
Basic Life Support (BLS) All 90 Days
