Position Summary:

An Installation Quality and Safety Specialist’ focus should be to work with internal stakeholders to improve the quality of installation’s deliverable to our customers as well as work with supply chain on quality issues from our suppliers as identified on project sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Installation Engineer to suggest product improvements that will in turn improve installation quality and decrease time to install

  • Develop business cases for new products and improvements, including cost and time savings analysis

  • Work with installation training manager to develop documentation and roll out plan as required for change management

  • Assist in supporting project site technical questions related to drawings, manuals, guides, and training material

  • Review pre-commissioning action item lists for repetitive issues causing poor quality

  • Support manufacturing efforts related to new products and product improvements

  • Clarify validity of project punch list items

  • Submit, maintain, and assist with the completion of project Corrective Action Request

  • Review Installation specific documentation to identify ambiguous instructions that may be leading to quality issues

  • Assist in maintaining & developing commissioning checklists

  • Advises and assists EHS on safety matters, including fact/data gathering, problem identification/resolution and offering objective assistance and guidance on EHS matters.

  • Carry current OSHA 30 and first aid training

  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving EHS issues at installation sites

  • Review department safety risk assessment scores and advise on improvements

Education:

Minimum High School Diploma

Preferably BS in engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical)

Minimum 3 years of experience in the Manufacturing or Material Handling Construction Industry

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Must have working knowledge of Lean Six Sigma as it relates to construction or manufacturing

  • Must be able to conduct analysis, interpret data & facilitate group activities directed towards process and/or product change

  • Must be able to manage and interact effectively with diverse groups

  • Must have extensive experience in Microsoft Excel & data manipulation/analysis

Must be able to present high-level ideas to management and installation supervisors

Direction of Others:

May provide expert advice, training, and technical assistance to support staff and other employees.
