The Secretary performs, according to standard procedure,routine to moderately difficult clerical work requiring a limited degree of decision-making and in which typing is a regular and essential duty; answers the telephone and in other ways assists the public; performs related work as required.
Education equivalent to completion of the 12th grade with sufficient experience to perform the position at a satisfactory level required. Ability to type from rough draft at the rate of 50 words per minute and 6500 keystrokes per hour for data entry after errors. Ability to maintain and keep clerical records, compile statistical data and prepare reports from such records. Ability to maintain positive interpersonal relationships. Ability to operate multi-line phone. Word processing/computer experience; Microsoft Word and Access experience preferred. Valid driver's license while operating vehicle on agency business.
