h3Position Summary/h3 The Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute (CTSI) at Michigan State University invites applications for a fixed term position as a Research Associate in the Biomedical Research Informatics Core (BRIC). This position will assist the BRIC Director and support unit goals by: providing administrative oversight and coordination for the delivery of informatics, information system, and data management services and consulting; providing direct supervision of staff and completing supervisory duties; participating in grant proposal preparation for both pre-award and post-award phases of research; and promoting a collegial and collaborative environment.and#160;The ideal candidate will have experience or background in an informatics related discipline and a strong interest in information technology.and#160;The Research Associate will be expected to engage in a program of individual and collaborative research. As a division of CTSI, BRIC is a multi-disciplinary effort to promote advancement of research and translational science by providing informatics support and consultation, delivering data management services, developing innovative tools, and leveraging existing information technology resources. BRIC works to reduce barriers to adoption of technologies and creates new tools to enhance and integrate research into the different phases of research and translational science. In collaboration with MSU investigators, BRIC facilitates the use of informatics and information technology to engage: patients, community organizations, clinicians, health systems, and researchers to advance research goals and improve the impact of research. The Michigan State University campus occupies 5,239 contiguous acres with outlying research facilities and natural areas. The gently-rolling campus is graced by a park-like landscape, traversed by the scenic tree-lined Red Cedar River.
