Also, maintaining manual and computer records associated with production or testing, perfuming record reviews and resolve discrepancies. Evaluating the suitability of blood products for manufacture and distribution. Complying with safety policies and procedures in the work area and use applicable protective equipment at all times to prevent exposure to potentially infectious blood and body fluids. Providing support, development and/or leadership guidance to all volunteers. Communicating effectively with customers, vendors and volunteers regarding orders, deliveries and returns and making hospital deliveries as assigned. On-call and variable scheduling is required.bHours: Part time variable days and shifts; Saturday and Sunday plus 1 or 2 days during the week. Must be able to work all shifts; union./bbTraining: Full time 6 to 10 weeks, shift Monday - Friday and some weekend towards the end of training./bbRate: $17.91 hourly then $19.38 hourly after 90 days/bubQualifications/b:/uullibEducation/b: High School or equivalentrequired/lilibExperience/b: Minimum 2 years related experience in a regulatory, laboratory, or manufacturing environment or equivalent combination of education and related experience preferred./lilibMust have a valid drivers license/b./lilibMust be able to lift, push, pull up to 50 lbs./b/lilibSkills/Abilities/b: All technician jobs require good computer skills, attention to detail, accurate documentation and good decision-making skills. Ability to use a wide variety of lab or medical equipment. Ability to use a personal computer and applicable software for sustained periods of time. Ability to work on a team. Good communication skills. Operational flexibility is required to meet sudden and unpredictable needs. Available to work overtime, other shifts, early mornings, evenings, holidays and weekends. Requires standing, stretching, stooping and bending for extended time periods. Lift, pull, push and move objects of up to 50 pounds. May work in walk-in refrigerator/freezers for periods of time. Work under pressure and within time standards.
