Under the supervision of the branch/therapy manager, utilizes knowledge and application of nursing principles to review clinical documentation for accuracy, thoroughness and appropriateness.
Assists data entry operators with issues regarding coding and deciphering data to be entered to create the plan of treatment (485) and other needed documents.
Assists leadership in ensuring that staff have submitted client documentation in a timely manner.
Assists with multidisciplinary communication of referrals and related information.
May provide direct patient care to client in the home.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Successful completion of an accredited licensed practical nurse program required; registered nurse program preferred.
Current licensure by the State of Michigan as a licensed registered nurse is required; registered nurse is preferred.
NAPNES certification or successful completion of a pharmacology exam required for all licensed practical nurses.
A minimum of two years clinical medical-surgical experience and prior home care experience required; quality assurance experience preferred.
