Spec Procedure Tech III Req #: 30108988 Category: Technologists Technicians Facility: Beaumont Hospital Dearborn Department: Cardiology Cath Lab Schedule: Casual/Contingent Shift: RotatingHours: 9:00 to 5:30/ 11:30 to 20:00 Job Details:GENERAL SUMMARY:According to established procedures and under the direction of a physician, assists with specialized radiological vascular procedures (i.e., angiographs). Responsible for the operation of radiological equipment during procedures.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:1. Reviews procedure schedule and sets up radiological equipment according to procedure requirements.2.Prepares sterile trays and instruments for procedures.3.Assists physicians in the injection of contrast media and operates radiology equipment (i.e. monitors, film processors and changers, C-arm cameras, injectors, oxy-meter, etc.) to record vascular structures.4.Develops and reviews film/CDs in order to ensure that they meet quality control standards.5.Assists in preparing patients for vascular procedures, positioning patients during procedures to obtain desired diagnostic images.6.Assists in cleaning special procedure rooms following studies, removing contrast media, cleaning instruments and sterile trays, cleaning procedure tables, etc.7.Responsible for ensuring availability of supplies and materials and performs calibration and preventative maintenance on radiology equipment.8.Assists with patient transport following procedures.STANDARD REQUIREMENTS:1.
