The Clinical Pharmacist assists in supervising the functional activities of Pharmacy Technicians and Interns. The individual's primary area of responsibility will be the provision of clinically focused pharmaceutical patient care with the implementation and provision of daily medication therapy management activities. Provides safe, effective, rational, and cost-conscious pharmacotherapeutic recommendations through the department's medication management programs. Prescribes and manages patient medication therapy, utilizing a team approach with both pharmacy and non-pharmacy personnel to achieve departmental and corporate goals and objectives.The Clinical Pharmacist will demonstrate good judgment and decisiveness during daily activities, maintaining a working knowledge of current pharmaceutical practice, and demonstrate a personal commitment to professional growth. The Clinical Pharmacist will support management by providing oversight, guidance and support for all assigned areas and will participate in the planning, organization, implementation, and monitoring of new programs and activities. The Clinical Pharmacist will participate in strategies to increase market share, reduce cost and improve customer satisfaction by participating in Service First initiatives.Minimum Job Qualifications:Education:Pharm.D. (Preferred) or Bachelor degree with two years hospital pharmacy experience.Experience: Prefer 1 Year Hospital pharmacy experience with demonstrated competency in medication dosing, medication reconciliation and participation in a multidisciplinary care team environment.Licensure: Pharmacist and Controlled Substance Licensein good standing with the State of Michigan.Skills: Customer service, interpersonal, and organizational skills with knowledge of computer systems.Beaumont Health is an equal opportunity employer.
