div GENERAL SUMMARY: The Behavior Technician will report to the Board-Certified Behavior Analyst and Board Certified assistant Behavior Analyst at Beaumont's Center for Exceptional Families. The Behavior Technician shall be responsible for implementing behavior analytic interventions for individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders and other developmental disabilities. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: ullidivWorks collaboratively with Center for Exceptional Families' staff, patients and patients' families in order to provide behavior analytic services to individuals with autism spectrum disorders and other developmental disabilities, under the direction and supervision of the Board-Certified Behavior Analyst and Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst. /divlidivImplements interventions to reduce problem behavior under the direction of Board Certified Behavior Analyst and/or Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst. /divlidivCollects data as directed by Board Certified Behavior Analyst and/or Board Certified Assistant Behavior analyst that can be used to determine effectiveness of interventions to decrease problem behavior./divlidivImplements behavior analytic (focused or comprehensive) instruction program to teach skills, under the direction of Board Certified Behavior Analyst and/or Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst./divlidivCollects skill acquisition data necessary to determine effectiveness of intervention program as directed by Board Certified Behavior Analyst and/or Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst. /divlidivMaintains appropriate documentation of assessment and treatment to meet hospital and insurance billing guidelines. /divlidivAdheres to all ethical guidelines outlined by the Behavior Analysis Certification Board. /divlidivParticipates in regular ongoing curriculum meetings with BCBA and families as primary Behavior Technician. /div/li/li/li/li/li/li/li/li/ulSTANDARD QUALIFICATIONS ullidivCandidate must possess a high school diploma or GED. /divlidivPreferred experience in childcare or work with children with special needs, mental health related experience or education, interest or class work in Allied Health Degrees. /divlidivCandidate must be certified by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board as a Registered Behavior Technician, currently enrolled in Registered Behavior Technician training, or commitment to complete Registered Behavior Technician training at the Beaumont Exceptional Families Autism Center and obtain certification as a Registered Behavior Technician. /divlidivBasic understanding of principals of behavior analysis. /divlidivExposure to individuals with autism spectrum disorders and other developmental disabilities. /divlidivAbility to model intervention for trainees and patients' family members. /divlidivExcellent communication skills. /divlidivAbility to collect data. /divlidivBLS through the American Heart Association/div/li/li/li/li/li/li/li/li/li/ul div /div /divBR/Beaumont Health is an equal opportunity employer.
