The Department of X-Ray/Imaging exists to provide to our patients in a prompt, competent manner diagnostic testing utilizing state-of-the-art equipment. We are a fully digital department, including general diagnostic radiography, fluoroscopy, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, Digital Mammography, Stereotactic Core Biopsy, Bone Density, CT scans, and MRI. We have a 3tesla MRI large bore unit, the largest in the area. All of the imaging technologists have had specialized training through formal college training programs and/or on-the–job training and are registered in their respective fields. Employees take pride in their work and provide specialized care to their patients. We are very proud of the imaging services that we provide and the manner in which we serve our patients.
The CT Technologist is responsible for screening, positioning and imaging of patient. The CT technologist will work closely with the CT Team Leader and Radiologist to produce the most diagnostic images possible in accordance with the Radiologist protocol.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program and registered as a Radiographer by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• Advanced certification in CT; OR CT registry-eligible, with completion of advanced certification in CT within one year of date of hire.
Must be proficient in venipuncture skills and follow hospital infection control guidelines related to venipuncture. Must be very conscientious and detail oriented person.
