We excel in providing dedicated and reliable staff to our pediatric and adult patients so that can remain in their homes. This gives you the opportunity to provide one on one care specific to that patient. We are currently in need of a day and night nurse in Battle Creek and Springfield. AVAILABLE SHIFTS * Saturday and Tuesday nights 8pm-8am in Battle Creek * every other Saturday and every Sunday 8am-8pm in Battle Creek * Mon-Thurs 2pm-8pm in Battle Creek * 6am-2pm in Springfield BENEFITS * Health insurance * Dental and vision insurance * Paid vacation * Paid sick time * Sign-on and referral bonuses * Paid training QUALIFICATIONS * Must be a graduate of a state approved school of nursing, and currently possess a valid RN license in the State of Michigan. * Must not have a criminal conviction for any violent crime or felony, and no past or pending disciplinary actions as an RN. * One (1) years experience in nursing preferred. * The ability to exercise initiative and independent judgment. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: * Performs ongoing assessments of client’s status  and regularly reevaluates the patient’s nursing needs to modify care plan as necessary. * Asses the physical, psycohoscial, spiritual and environmental status of assigned clients in a systematic and continuous manner to provide required services.  * Consults with physicians, other staff, client/family and other caregivers to formulate a plan of care and coordinate delivery of services to ensure high quality of care.  * Initiates care and performs services in accordance with the clients’ plan of care. * Continuously evaluates the clients status and works with the client/caregiver tin developing ways to meet their needs.  * Informs the physician and other healthcare team members of changes in the client’s condition and needs.  * Prepares clinical and progress notes for each client visit and summaries of care conferences on his / her client in a timely manner as directed and per Lakeshore policy. * Coordinates client services as directed by the Program Manager. * Counsels  and educates the client and the clients family as appropriate to meet identified needs and achieve goals gives medications according to agency policy * Adheres to standard precautions.  * Participates in and presents in-service programs. * Processes orders and notifies physician of client needs and changes in the clients condition, Lakeshore certification / recertification orders and discharge summaries. * Supervises and teaches other skilled nursing personnel as appropriate. * Conducts client care conferences on client(s) assigned to their care. * Informs clients of their rights and responsibilities and respects these rights and responsibilities * Complies with all agency policies and procedures participates in Performance/Quality Improvement activities as indicated. * Participates in committees as requested.  * Maintains an accurate account of medical supplies in his/her possession.
