University of Michigan RESEARCH ASST II (TEMP) in Ann Arbor, Michigan
The primary purpose of this position is to assist with a research study in Borjigin-Wang labs, working under the direction and supervision of senior research staff. The goals of this project are to investigate the impact of cerebral ischemic stroke on brain’s electrical signaling.
The Research Assistant is responsible for the following tasks: washing dishes, lab organization, ordering reagents, train undergrads on essential lab tasks, and maintain an inventory of research study supplies. He/she will also be exposed to standard molecular techniques as well as whole animal studies.
The successful candidate will have research study experience, including accurately completing data collection forms. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are necessary in order work effectively with research staff in the lab. Basic computing skills such as email and Microsoft Office are necessary.
